Environment

RRI is a member of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) and subscribes to Principle 7 of its e3 PLUS Framework for Responsible Exploration: "Protect the Environment". (See update below.)

UPDATE: In March 2024 the PDAC updated and rebranded their e3 PLUS Framework to DRE (Driving Responsible Exploration). RRI will review DRE and almost certainly subscribe to its principles.

Safety

RRI subscribes to Principle 8 of the PDAC's e3 PLUS Framework "Safeguard the Health and Safety of Workers and the Local Population". (See update below.)

Social

RRI operates in the traditional territories of the Haisla Nation, Skin Tyee Nation, Wet’suwet’en First Nation, Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chiefs, Nee-Tahi-Buhn Indian Band, Witset First Nation and Cheslatta Carrier Nation First Nations, with its closest towns being Heuston. Smithers and Burns Lake.

RRI is in constructive communication with all these First Nations, as well as with various service and supplies providers in Smithers.

In 2022 the optionor commissioned an Archaeological Review Report on the property which has been shared with all First Nations. The report recommends the completion of an Archeological Overview Assessment, which RRI will undertake in parallel with its exploration activities.

Governance

RRI subscribes to Principle 1 of the PDAC's e3 PLUS Framework: "Adopt Responsible Governance and Management" (See update below.)
